1. About Eva and the operating entity
Eva is an AI-powered operating system for US cleaning businesses, operated by Stephane Bacanin Consulting, the sole proprietorship of Stephane BACANIN (Entrepreneur individuel), registered in France under SIREN 949 493 753, SIRET 949 493 753 00014. Registered address: 14 rue Gay Lussac, 87620 Séreilhac, France.
Eva enables cleaning business owners to send transactional SMS to their own customers (the customers booking cleaning services). Eva does not send marketing or promotional SMS, and does not send SMS to people who have not opted in through a booking form.
2. How customers opt in
Customers opt in by booking a cleaning service through a booking form hosted by Eva on behalf of a specific cleaning business. The booking form contains a dedicated SMS consent checkbox, presented unchecked by default, with the following consent language:
I agree to receive SMS text messages from [Business Name] (via Eva) about my quote and service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms, Privacy Policy and Terms.
This checkbox is optional and unchecked by default. The customer chooses whether to opt in. If they check it, consent is recorded with a timestamp and stored alongside the booking, and they receive appointment-related SMS. If they leave it unchecked, the booking still proceeds normally and no SMS is sent to that number.
3. Message types and frequency
- Appointment confirmation (one per booking)
- Reminders (typically 24 hours and 1 hour before the visit)
- On-my-way notice (when the cleaner is en route, if enabled by the business)
- Completion notice (when the visit is finished)
- Review request (after the visit, if enabled by the business)
- Reschedule or cancellation alerts (only if the visit changes)
Typical message frequency is up to 6 messages per appointment. Eva never sends promotional or marketing SMS, only transactional messages tied to a real, scheduled appointment.
4. Opting out
Customers may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message they have received. Upon a STOP request:
- The phone number is unsubscribed within 4 hours.
- A single confirmation message is sent.
- No further SMS will be sent to that number unless the customer opts back in, either by replying START to the same conversation or by booking again with consent. Replying START restores SMS notifications.
Customers may also reply HELP to receive a short message explaining the service and how to reach support.
5. Carrier and data charges
Msg&data rates may apply.Charges depend on the customer's mobile carrier and plan. Eva does not charge customers directly for SMS.
6. Privacy and third-party sharing
Mobile phone numbers and SMS message content are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes. The only third party we share SMS data with is Twilio Inc., our SMS delivery processor, under a strict data processor agreement (limited to the data needed to deliver the message).
